i will also send color copies of all the documents mentined by you.

how do you have i 94 for all h1's. i just have my current one. rest all i gave it to immigration while departing to india.

Howdy fellow Aliens,

My wife's EAD just got approved. Now I have to get her a SSN so she can start working part time. Firstly I should ask can she get a SSN provided her I-485 application is filed and she has a valid EAD ? Any idea how long it takes to get the dang SSN ? I appreciate your help as always.

oh! what a luck. I have not come across anyone who has this situation. My guess is that you should have no problem for 1 year extensions but you cannot get 3 year extensions because 3 year extensions are only for people who cannot file for i485 because of retrogression and you do not meet that criteria and According to Yates memo you are eligible for 1 year extension.

Has anyone else come accross this problem? I wanted to remitt funds to India and when I logged in to SBI GLS web site I got the following message:

I am also facing the same issue and when I open up the page same message pops up. I don't know if it is something to do with VA state. Have been using Click2Remit(Kotak) and Remit2India for the time being.

none took care of the second part Master +2 years and hence it got rejected

is there anyway USCIS would find out that this person changed jobs within 180 days of 485 filing when he or she applies for H1 transfer? and then that could result in 485 denial?

1) Will I get my DL extended till Jan 08 (based on H1b) or Sep 08 (based on EAD)?

It depends what you want to use if you use H1B then till Jan 08 and if EAD then sep 08

2) If they extend DL based on EAD, will I loose H1 status as I used EAD?

You will have to pay again and again and again.
But you have a chance to get 2 year EAD. Thanks to IV for the effort.

How is that someone who applies in August 07 with a fee of $340 doesnt have to pay for their renewal while I have to pay even though I had applied in 2008 and with the same fee of $340??
It really beats me...well I guess that's USCIS::(((

Asked Core Iv A Question And They Deleted The Thread

I asked IV core on what version of immigration bill they support because I and other people wanted to know since there are so many amendments to the current immigration bill and Now I log in to see , the thread is missing, why, my question was straight forward, again I am asking them on what form of immigration bill they support. I highly doubt In what they are doing looks like they are working for the benefit of them self. Guys please don�t be ignorant and its your right to ask the question don�t be a dumb crowd but ask questions.
I am too in the same GC queue with I140 and I485 filed and pending, so don�t count me as anti � immigrant but also want to see the betterment of others too who are in GC process and will be effected due to the introduction of the new bill.

I changed jobs recently and retained my attorney from previous employer even though I had the option of using the current employer's attorney for free. The reason being

1. I had good relationship with my previous attorney.
2. I never know when my dates (EB-I 06/03) will be current and in case of a layoff or future job change, we need to update USCIS with the new attorney information which I thought will raise a few eyebrows and was not comfortable with this option.
3. Even though you change attorney and send the updated details to USCIS, chances are that they don't update the system and any RFE or information may still get sent to the original attorney that filed your I-485.

Note, that I am not suggesting you one way or the other, these are the reasons for making my decision, hopefully this will help you make an informed decision.

Why do you think it is good news? Same Senators will be there in the Senate. Do you think they will accept skil? Not only skil any major immigration bill like AGRI, DREAM act will be stalled till next election.
It seems all immigration bill are dead till nov. 2008. I donot see any bill will pass in this Senate.

I wish my company attorney could understand the basic ENGLISH instructions. Worst part, still doesn't admit his mistake and keeps pointing to the receipt issued by USCIS.

Btw, I took Infopass appointment and went today to ask what should I do....given USCIS has issued receipt notice
The officer responded similar to my attorney's response, stating given that USCIS has issued receipt, they are working on my appl and I may not need to send the fee..BUT he admitted that the fee was required..
In short, still not sure what to do....

While today's development is great news for folks in the 485/AOS cue, what happens with people in CP? With the opening of the floodgates, I am unsure when visas will be available to CP cases who were scheduled for interviews in Aug and beyond.
