Hi,
I am on EAD with my GC sponsor, 485 pending - PD Dec2006. I was a Sr.QA Analyst while my Labor was filed. Those job responsibilities were submitted in labor along with generic titles like programmer analyst etc.
Now that I have planned a technology change, I am moving into SAP BI. As it is getting tough to get contract positions and lot of FTE opportunities. I am wondering what my options are. Having said that I am also anticipating my PD to be current in july/aug/sep 2011.
I was told by my employer that I could temporarily resign , take a FT with another company and join back within 6 months.
During this time they would continue with my green process.
In this situation while I am very close ( 6-9 months) for my PD to be current, what are my best options?
1. AC21 - get it all done with new company ? Job title from Sr.Qa to SAP BI would it be a problem?
2. Temporary resignation and rejoining - is it really feasible?
3. Stay with current company - try for contract positions even if it means that I have to stay long on bench. I have been already out since Aug.
Please pour in your thoughts.

My H4 spouse left the country for vacation on May 25 (before h4 expiry)
Attorney filed 7th year ext and I 539 on Jun14.
My 6th year of H1 ended on Jun 17.
The attorney was not reachable by HR or myself. HR calls me today about problem with H4 and the attorney wants to discuss. What the heck ? Do they file I-539 when some one is not in the country ? She and I always maintained proper status. What can be the problem? I am freaking out to get my h1 ext approval asap and bring her back to file 485. Now my head is exploding. Any clues ? I cant bear this suspense.
Once your wife is not in this country..she would not be eligible to file 539...
But I do not think your head needs to explode...All you have to do now is to send your extension papers to wife back home and get her H4 stamped...
Without a stamp she cannot come back and by leaving country she abandoned the I539....

Sadly Immigration voice is giving importance to the � number of posts� rather than �number of valuable posts� .
Some people are more interested to upgrade in their title by putting more number of comments, which will have no information.

Kirupa, thanks but when I started a new empty xaml file to test your code I got quite a few errors. I'm using the June 2.5 Preview so I don't know if that's the cause of the errors but I've attached a screenshot with the code and errors.

This is just a letter sized paper. No pictures. Some people accept it. Some don't. Even in Florida. It didn't use to have a signature. But I guess now it does. Last time I asked them and they said it is valid and should be accepted anywhere in FL. But, try renting a car with it.
Its worse if you have to travel out of state, and rent a car. I had to travel on work and it was horrible. Every time you use your credit card they ask for photo ID.
There is another thing called ID card, different then license.

I'm trying to figure out the reasoning behind Mexico's numbers as well. According to the latest cut-off date tables http://www.travel.state.gov/pdf/EmploymentDemandUsedForCutOffDates.pdf
Mexico has about 5,800 folks total for EB-3 in the queue so far, but we have seen very little movement in the past years. My questions to the forum:
1) Is the slow movement due to so many cases in field offices not yet reported?
2) Do family-based numbers take away from the 7% of 140K visas a year or are these solely for EB?
3) Any idea why movement is so slow for Mexico given the numbers of people currently in the queue?
Theories are welcome.

2. No, the 140K is solely for the EB category, the FB does not take any visa numbers from EB unless there is more visa numbers available than applicants...........which in the current situation is not true

Renewal of one of my friend got rejected on the ground of FP unavailability see my post "Biometric Issue: EAD renewal denied"
If I have never received a FP Notice from USCIS and then, they deny my EAD renewal because of this, that will be total absurd. I don't think any good immigration attorneys will let this go.

Hi everyone,
I have a related question. I am a canadian citizen now and am still maintaining an H1b. My H1b stamp had expired in 2007 though.
I had applied for AP in january but its still pending at NSC.
Now I have to go to India for my brother's marriage.
My question to you all is-Since I am still on H1B (and If am not wrong, canadian citizens do not require H1B stamps)-- will it be ok if I travel without an AP.

There is nothing you can do going forward. You broke the law and as such the punishment is more severe than simple monetory fine.
If it is caught then they will cancel your H1b and will invalidate your GC.

If you have not done this already you are supposed to call the USCIS and update them with your new address apart from sending a AR-11 regarding your address change.
Call customer service and ask them to give you an update and/or request a copy of your receipt notice. The notice goes to your moron lawyer and it takes about 4/5 business days to get a mail from USCIS once they send it out.
